Coloured version of thiiiiis: [link]

"I never met 'er, but I've always felt like I knew 'er. There ain't no one else in this boneyard who gets more visitors! Even the queen, like!"

Even though Elsie was a character that passed away a few years ago, the Runners still often visit her and bring her gifts; mostly in the form of booze and flowers. She's been made an example to any new kid joining the gang of guttersnipes, as someone who everyone loved to bits, but ended up in the wrong kind of company and through poor decisions, lost her life.

Background reference: Stormwind City graveyard.

It's hard to describe it any other way X3
The amount of detail in not only the characters, but the environment is amazing~

;^; *squee* Thank you so much! It's a fairly old picture now, but I still like it. The story line on TGR is simply incredibly immersive, I don't know if I had dared to continue drawing without that horribly wonderful lot while I was hiding from Erwil! :orange:

Such a lovely piece! The details, the coloring, the peaceful atmosphere... I like Elsie's serene expression, she seems to have been a kind person. Hehe, of all the company, the cute little husky is the only one who can see her! The statue of the lion, the way you drew all the leaves... Just out of curiosity, how long did this take you?

<3 Awh, thank you! And I have to say I can't for the life of me remember how long it took me to finish. I had a reference picture to help with the background, but it still took me a fair while.

Seems like it! By the way, were you by any chance inspired by a true story fro this piece? :)

To some extent, yes. I was told the character's story in RP, and also found out that Elsie used to be played by my boyfriend. The death of the character happened well over two years ago now, and I never actually got to meet her IC. But anyone you ask who used to know Elsie, said that her funeral was extremely emotional. The things that led to it were incredibly well roleplayed out. She was an important figure to the original core of the guild, but has also carried over to another generation of roleplayers in the guild and on the server through stories and gossip.

That's so cool! What RP group was that? I've never been in one myself, although it would probably be useful for developing my writing skills. It would take too much time...

I guess we all have to put up with getting to know the character OOC. Where can stories about her be read? And what was Elsie's function in the guild?

Ack. I never noticed I hadn't responded to you. D: I'm so sorry! Was such a long time ago!

The group was called The Gutter Runners. We did a lot of stuff with the local Watch guild. Petty thievery, small cons and all that.

The Argent Archives went down a while ago, but they've managed to start the server again!…

They've unfortunately had to take their search function down. There server's been really unstable lately. :(
